First stop on the trip – Denmark! Denmark was such a beautiful, fun place to be. We left Phoenix, Arizona and flew to Denver, Colorado where we got on our big plane to Frankfurt, Germany. Well guys, this is it. I will be on my way to Europe tomorrow morning for a little over two weeks! I’ll be busy hopping through Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, and Italy. I can’t wait to share my adventures with you along the way – just don’t miss me too much though, okay? Clear Creek Campin’

Last weekend I headed up north to Clear Creek for a quick getaway before it gets too chilly! It’s only about 2 hours from my home, just south of Camp Verde. I had a nice hike and a relaxing camp-out with great friends. This was a beautiful, easy hike, with so much to see and do. Lots of swimming holes along the 6 mile trail to our campsite. This bunny highly recommends!

It was beauteous!

The water was a little chilly, but I was a little sweaty, so it was perfect!

So tired from my hike! Have to rest up for Christmas shopping next week.

Pumpkins, Bacon, and Sally

This weekend was a lot of fun. I’ve never been to a pumpkin patch before, so I thought it was about time. The weather was perfect, and so much to do and see. It was called Vertuccio Farms down in Gilbert – only about 10 minutes from my house and I never knew it. Best of all? I think I found the love of my life.

So many things! Where to start?

The pumpkin patch of course! So many choices!

Wee-Be pumpkins were oh so cute, and just my size.

I had no idea a pumpkin was a pretty flower before it was a pumpkin!

BIG.

After the pumpkin patch, I learned how to milk a cow.

A whopping 6 inches tall.

The corn maze looked so fun, but I was so scared I was gonna get lost!

Here I go…

Well, I thought I was safe once I found my way out of the maze… maybe not.

Moo moo wasn’t quite as dirty… she didn’t look very milkable though like the other one.

Just when I thought my fellow bunny sighting couldn’t be topped, I met Sally. Sally was the cutest, friendliest, softest donkey (and only) I’ve ever met. I think I love you, Sally.

Beer, Brats, and Bunny

Well Bunny Fans, it’s my favorite time of the year – Fall. This means many things… colonial-wear, amazing scented candles, pumpkin spiced lattes (this bunny likes it on ice… I know, I’m weird, but it’s Arizona!), and most of all – Oktoberfest. Which equals two things: beer and brats.

Brat Haus – a delicious year round treat for me, but extra special in the Fall.

Yay!

They have the best selection of beer in my hood.

And a couple extra special choices for this month! Check it this big, tall, yummy Hefeweizen.

This big boy was delish too.

Now the important part – what to eat?!

I started off with a delicious house-baked soft pretzel, with cheese for dippin’!

I’m sorry, but I have no idea why this photo makes this brat look… unappetizing. But it’s the only one I got, so you will just have to pretend and take it from me – it’s incredible. A spicy bratwurst topped with root beer soaked onions. YEP, ROOT BEER SOAKED ONIONS.

I had a little too much to drink, so they gave me a lift in their company car. Just my size!

Eat at Joe’s

I can’t believe it’s taken me SO long to do a post about the BEST restaurant in the valley – Joe’s Farm Grill, located in Gilbert, Arizona. I’m back from my summer travels, and this was the place I missed the most. My favorite thing to get is a good old cheeseburger. But, decided I needed a change. Have a look! Even though it all looks delicious, try not to lick the screen. Gross.

Here it is!

I went early enough in the day, but on most nights the line is out the door and down the walkway.

See the TV screen? That’s Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! He visited here a few years ago and sampled some of the goods too.

The restaurant is actually a house that was converted. The owner, Joe (duh), grew up here. Cool huh?

This is just so friggin’ awesome – BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, and mayo all dispensed from these sweet little tubes.

YUM. BBQ chicken pizza in my belly! Ugh it was so so delicious.

The grilled wedge salad was dang good too!

After grubbin’, I walked right over to a neighboring community garden.

Here, there are about 40 individual plots right between Joe’s and a neighborhood called Agritopia.

12 whole acres of community urban farming!

Crop after crop after crop!

So big and pretty.

I had NO idea this was how artichokes looked on the stem!

I love it here.

The Oregon Trail

Tahoe has been amazing, but it was soon time to head north to Florence, Oregon to visit some of Mimi’s family. On the way, I saw some super random towns and sights. Check it out!

This is my Mimi’s Aunt’s garden… so my great aunt, I guess? She had lots of nummy things… EXCEPT FREAKIN’ CARROTS.

Huh. Purple asparagus. This stuff was pretty neat, because after you cook it – it turns green. Magical asparagus.

A Sticky 4th of July

I went to the beach. This was my flair for the day. It was really spinny in the wind.

After the beach, I headed over to one of my favorite restaurants on the lake – Garwoods.

Thank goodness the 4th fell on my favorite day of the week.

I took a really long nap after my afternoon at Garwoods, I don’t know why I was so tired. I totally skipped dinner and went straight for the goods.

An Officer and a Bunny

I made my way up to Lake Tahoe a couple of weeks ago along the 395. I always love the drive. The first four hours or so are pretty fugly, but after that, man it’s gorgeous. Mimi let me drive most of the way, and boy I am one heck of a driver for just a pint sized bunny. I always obey the law. Most of the time. Some of the time. Okay, not this time…

It was a bit of a squeeze in the VW Bug.

A few hours into the drive, this puppy pulled up behind me.

Aaaaand here it is. The winning ticket. Officer Rabe booked me. About 80 in a 65 – I had no idea! Promise! My little foot weighs a whole lot more than one would think. He was really nice though, and let me get this awesome photo with him.

After my ticket, my tummy was grumbly and needed a little somethin’. This here’s the Whoa Nellie Deli – the most random joint on the 395. I’ve even seen it in Bon Appetit! It’s in a mini mart across from Mono Lake, right along the Tioga Pass over into Yosemite. The food was DELISH.

The best chicken salad wrap I could have asked for!

This is Mono Lake. Mimi drove the rest of the way… I was a little nervous after my ticket. Thanks Mimi.

We got in really really late that night, but it was all worth it knowing this would be my home for the next couple of weeks. I love you Tahoe.

I went for a walk since my legs were so stiff from the drive yesterday, and I saw this: sugar cones gettin’ ready to drop! I was just in time.

Man they sure looked mighty big this year.

That’s twice as long as me!
